Susanna Sottocorno

Managing Director - Member of the board

Susanna Sottocorno was only 19 when she joined FIMER S.p.A. as Administrative Manager of the group. She has always followed the development of the company as successor to the founder of the Group, Arturo Sottocorno. In 1982 she was appointed Sole Director, a position she filled until January 2012 when she became Managing Director of the Group. Speaks French fluently

Ambrogio Carzaniga

Chairman of the Board of Directors - Member of the board

At 24 years of age, Ambrogio Fabrizio Carzaniga obtained a degree in civil engineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan. He began his professional career at the BCV Design and Engineering firm of Milan in 1972 as Engineer of Structural Analysis. In 1974, he landed in SEA Aeroporti of Milan where he worked as a designer in a project team that developed what eventually became the "Malpensa 2000" airport. In 1978, he was called to Telettra S.p.A. (now Alcatel Lucent) where he founded the first Structural Engineering Office, and at the age of just 30, he was coordinating a team of 26 engineers. He joined FIMER S.p.A. in 1982 as General Manager and in January 2012 he was appointed Chairman of the Fimer Board of Directors. Speaks English, French and Spanish fluently

Antonio Tettamanti

Technical Manager

In 1997, Antonio Tettamanti graduated in Electronic Engineering at the Polytechnic University with a major in Automation. He began his professional career in 1997 at Proseat (Manzoni Group) working as a SW designer of transfers for metalworking. In 1998 he landed in Gefran as SW designer and manager of the customer interface and on-field assistance division. In 2000, while still at Gefran he was appointed Head of the Engineering and EPC-HW department and Project Manager. In 2001 he was appointed Technical Manager for the Plants and Systems Division. In September 2006 he joined Carlo Gavazzi S.p.A. as Product Manager for the group’s Renewable Energy Division. In 2008 he was recruited by FIMER Group as Division Manager of the company to manage the company’s development of new photovoltaic inverters. In September 2011 he was appointed FIMER Technical Manager for all the company’s divisions. Speaks English fluently.

Massimo Colombo

Purchasing Manager

Massimo Colombo graduated as Electronics Consultant at Salesians in Sesto S. Giovanni in 1985; and he began his career as  technical operator at St Microelectronics in Agrate. In 1991 he arrived in Fagrel srl, a company specialized in PCB production where he worked first in the procurement department and then as director. In 2009 he joined Fimer as Senior Buyer, in 2013 he became the Procurement Director of the Group’s three divisions, whose role he’s still performing. He speaks fluently English.

Franco Parolini

Operative Manager

Franco Parolini began his career in 1974 in IBM, in short time he became Finance & Industrial engineering senior specialist till 1986. Thanks to his capacity he was also responsible for operations & services till 2000; he held this role also in the following company, Celestica, till 2005. This company became Bames and from year 2006 to year 2012 his role was SEM operations Mgr improving his technical and production know-how. From 2013 he’s in Fimer the Operative Manager. He speaks fluently English.

Giancarlo Ripamonti

Operations Manager

Ripamonti Giancarlo graduated with honors in Electronics and Telecommunications in 1988. After gaining professional experiences ranging from electromechanical to electronics in 2000 he joined Sincosald (welding equipment) as electric designer, then in R&D to develop a new inverter and finally he became the production department manager. In 2011 he worked in the wiring and industrial switchboards sector in RELIND group, where he completed and perfected his production management training complying with new techniques of LEAN PRODUCTION. In 2013 he joined FIMER Group SpA as Operations Manager overseeing all company divisions’ productive processes and production planning. His work is supported by supervisors who are responsible for each division production.

Loretta Riva

Administration/Finance

Loretta Riva began her professional career in 1984 working as an auditor at an accounting firm. In 1988 she landed in Cobra S.p.A. as manager of the administration and personnel office. In 2001 she joined Redaelli S.p.A. as Finance and Administration Manager. She joined FIMER in 2006 as Administrative and Finance Manager, a position she still holds today. Speaks English and German.

Alvise Sordina

Sales Director

Graduated in Economics and Business in “L. Bocconi” University in Milan, he held roles of increasing responsibility in the sales departments of the B2B sector and in particular of semi lasting/lasting goods manufacturers. He has an extended experience on most of the world markets and in the management of complex organizational structures. He joined Fimer in early 2014 as Sales Director. He speaks fluently English and Spanish
